2 killed, 6 injured in road accidents

RAJOURI, Sept 18:  Two persons including a Government teacher and a minor girl were killed and six others injured   in two separate road accidents in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that a Physical Education Teacher was killed on the spot while his three colleagues were injured when the i10 car (JK-11A/2419), in which they were travelling towards Rajouri met with an accident near Muradpur at around 11.20 am.  The car went out of control and rolled down killing teacher Duty Lal, son of Duni Chand, resident of Nowshera on the spot.
These four teachers from Nowshera were going to Rajouri stadium where sports camp is going on. Immediately after the mishap SHO Rajouri Yash Pal Jamwal along with some policemen reached the spot and the injured were rushed to Rajouri hospital. The dead body of Duty Lal was also shifted to the mortuary of district hospital. The injured have been identified as  Mangat Ram, his wife Renu Bala and Kuldip Raj, all residents of Nowshera.
Meanwhile, in yet another car accident at Lamberi near Nowshera a 11-year-old girl was killed while three other members of a family hailing from Mendhar were injured today. The mishap took place when Tahir Hussain, son of Akbar Din, resident of Mendhar was on way to Jammu along with his wife Khalida and two children.
Police said the accident took place at around 10.30 am. The brand new Tata Bolt car being driven by Tahir went out of control and skidded off the road. The police party from Lamberi rushed the injured persons to Sunderbani hospital where 11-year-old Heena, daughter of Tahir Hussain was declared as dead by the doctors. Two year old Ishaq Hussain and the couple were referred to GMC hospital Jammu from Sunderbani. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
