2 killed 3 injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, May 28: Two persons including a five year child were killed in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, a five-year old female child was injured today in collision of an auto and a car at Bari Brahamana area of Samba district. The seriously injured child, who has been identified as Preeti daughter of Sajan of Maharashtra (at present Bari Brahamana), was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where she expired at about 7.30 this evening. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for completing medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, an accident victim undergoing treatment here at GMCH expired in the wee hours of today. The deceased has been identified as Bopinder Singh (40) son of Ranjit Singh of Himachal Pradesh. The deceased had received serious injuries on May 26 when the bike he was riding on was hit by a truck at Bari Brahamana. He was shifted to GMCH on the same day for treatment.
A man identified as Tarsem Lal (46) son of Lal Chand of RS Pura also injured this afternoon when his scooty collided with another scooty coming from opposite side at Parade.
A 23-year old girl identified as Preet Kour wife of Balbir Singh of Sainik Colony injured when a motorcycle hit her scooty at Sainik Colony.
At Bishnah, a mini-bus hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Parkash Kour (90) wife of Fouja Singh of Makhanpur (Bishnah).
All the injured have been shifted to GMCH, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
