JAMMU, Mar 31: Two persons were killed while one another was injured in accidents in Nagrota area of Jammu district and Battery Chasma area of district Ramban.
As per police sources, a pedestrian was killed when an unknown vehicle hit him near Jagti area of Nagrota here today, police sources said.
The deceased has been identified as Showkat Ali, son of Abdul Aziz of District Kupwara.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for autopsy.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a man killed while one another injured was injured when the Tata Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK02CL-8544 they were travelling in rolled down near Battery Chasma area of district Ramban.
The deceased has been identified as Zaffar Husssin, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of District Reasi, while the injured was identified as Amjad, son of Zakir Hussain of District Reasi.
The injured has been shifted to District Hospital Ramban, where he was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
Ramban Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
