POONCH, Apr 29: Two persons were seriously injured in a car accident in Surankote area of district Poonch last night.
The victims are identified as, Tariq Khan, son of Daulat Khan and Tahir Khan, son of Shakeel Khan, both residents of Banola village in Mendhar. Police said the mishap took place when they were returning home after attending a marriage function at Gulpur in Poonch last night.
Near Madana in Surankote, their car No. JK12/ 8478 went out of control and fell down into a gorge. A road opening party of Army noticed a car rolled down during early morning and rescued two injured persons trapped in the vehicle. The jawans came to their rescue and shifted them to Poonch hospital. Tariq Khan was later referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu for serious injuries.
