KATHUA, Aug 26: The police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 200 capsules of toxic nature from their possession from Barnoti area on National Highway this evening.
A police spokesman said that a Highway Flying Squad of Kathua police, intercepted a car No. JK08A/0808 near Barnoti naka. The car driver parked the vehicle at some distance away and ran towards fields and disappeared. The police took the two other sitting in the vehicle in custody and recovered 200 capsules of toxic nature from their possession. Both were arrested and the vehicle seized.
Those arrested were identified as Surinder Kumar, son of Banarsi Dass of Budhi and Iqbal Singh, son of Gian Singh, resident of Barnoti. The police was looking for their third associate. A case stand registered in this connection.
