2 drug peddlers held

SRINAGAR, July 10: Police today arrested two drug peddlers at a checkpoint and recovered contraband substance from their possession in north Kashmir’s Sopore.
A police spokesperson said that officers at a checkpoint established at Warpora crossing arrested two notorious drug peddlers. They were identified as Abdul Hameed Mir and Bilal Ahmed Chopan both residents of Janwara Sopore. They have been shifted to Police Station Sopore where they remain in custody. Contraband substance has been seized by the officers in the instant case.
Case FIR No. 190/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered and initiated investigations in the matter.
