2 drug-peddlers held, 12.31 gm heroin recovered

RAJOURI, Apr 19: Continuing its drive against drug- trafficking, the police achieved success by apprehending two drug-peddlers during routine patrolling in the Salani area of Rajouri and recovered over 12 gms of heroin from their possession.
Reports said a police party from Police Station Rajouri intercepted a motorcycle, bearing registration No. PB06BE/5567. Two persons were riding the bike. During questioning and subsequent search, the riders were identified as Sama Massih, son of Mangat, resident of village Morh, Punjab and Arun Massih, son of Rajinder Massih, resident of village Bakshiwal, Punjab.
During their personal search 12.31 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession. Both accused were taken into custody and contraband seized on the spot. A case FIR No. 177/2026 has been registered in this connection.
