JAMMU, May 31: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested two drug peddlers along with heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani and SP South Vinay Sharma laid a naka near Valmiki Chowk and apprehended two drug peddlers along with 250 grams heroin worth several crores and Rs 2 lakh cash.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Shafi, son of Ghulam Mohi Din of District Baramulla and Darshan Lal of Hatli Morh, District Kathua.
A case under FIR Number 143/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation has been initiated.
