KATRA, Apr 9: Continuing the drive against drug abuse, Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 800 grams of marijuana from their possession.
The accused, riding a motorcycle bearing registration number JK14H- 5835, were apprehended during routine checking and frisking at Police Check Post Nomain.
They were identified as Varun Sharma, son of Ashok Kumar of Chak tehsil and district Udhampur and Bablu of Railway Road Katra. Police seized 800 grams of marijuana like substance from their possession.
A case FIR number 105/2022, under section 8/20/25 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at the Police Station Katra and investigation was started to unearth forward and backward linkages.
