2 drug peddlers arrested with 30 gms heroin

JAMMU, June 22: Bahu Fort police arrested two drug peddlers along with 30 grams of heroin.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) South Sandeep Choudhary, on specific information, a police team led by SDPO East Vipan Chandran along with SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad and Incharge Bhatindi Police Post Rakesh Roshan apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered 30 grams of heroin from their possession.
SP said that the arrested persons have been identified as Karamveer Singh alias Babu, son of Kulbir Singh of GTB Nagar Bhatindi and Sunny Sharma, son of Makhan Lal Sharma, a resident of Gadigarh Jammu, adding that a case under FIR Number 162/18 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation is being conducted to pinpoint their contact persons in Jammu through whom they used to get the drugs peddled to youth in Jammu. He termed this catch as an important milestone.
He added that the concerned individuals used to allegedly procure drugs and supply the same in Jammu.
