SAMBA, May 22: As a part of continuous drive against the menace of the drugs launched by District Police Samba two drug peddlers were arrested by Samba police at two different places today.
As per reports, a police party of Police Station, Ghagwal headed by Inspector, Amit Andotra, SHO Ghagwal under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba arrested one drug peddler and recovered 120 intoxicant capsules from him.
The arrest was made during a routine naka checking at NHW Tapyal when police intercepted one person on suspicious ground and during frisking 120 Number of intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas) were recovered from his possession. The accused was identified as Mohd Yousaf, 38, S/o Allah Rakha R/o Sarore, Samba. He was arrested on the spot along with contraband items. In this regard a case FIR No. 79/18 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.
In another case one more drug peddler was arrested and 175 intoxicant capsules were recovered from him by Vijaypur Police at Gurah road .
As per reports a police party of PS Vijaypur headed by Inspector Suraj Pathania, SHO Vijaypur under the close supervision of Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur laid special naka on Gurha road near Railway barrier/track and intercepted one person on suspicious ground. During frisking 175 No. of intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) were recovered from the possession of accused person namely Vikram Kumar S/o Yashpal R/o Miran Sahib, Jammu. The accused was arrested on the spot along with contraband items. In this regard, a case FIR No. 75/2018 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
The drive was launched under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra.
