Jammu records hottest day

JAMMU, May 22: As there is no respite from the heat wave the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir continued to sizzle and on Tuesday recorded season’s maximum temperature 40.5 degree Celsius.
It was another hottest day of the season here with maximum 40.5 degree Celsius as earlier on April 30 season’s maximum was 40.2 degree Celsius temperature. “It was another hottest day of the season,” said a weatherman, adding, “the maximum temperature was 40.5 Degree Celsius and the minimum was 24.3 degree Celsius”.
“There will be no respite from heat wave in the coming days as it is will fluctuate between 37 to 40 degrees,” he added. The weather man said that the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 41C and 24C respectively on Wednesday.
