Srinagar, July 9: Two persons including a ward member died while cleaning a well in Chalgund Halmatpora area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon.
Two persons died inside a well and later were retrieved by a joint team of Police, SDRF and locals at Chalgund Halmatpora village.

They said that they fell unconscious while cleaning a well at Ganai Mohalla in Halmatpora following which a police team was rushed to the spot. “Later they were retrieved by a joint team of police, SDRF and locals after hectic efforts.”
The deceased have been identified as Ghulam Nabi and Mahad Ganaie-both the residents of Chalgund Halmatpora. Ghulam Nabi was also a ward member.
