2 die, 4 injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, July 17: Two persons died and four others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
A police spokesperson said that a Maruti car JK02AT 1075 collided with a Tipper JK03 1604 at K.P Road Paibugh, Mattan in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to Farooq Ahmad Mandoo son of Ghulam Qadir of Bijbehara, Parvaiz Ahmad Bakshi son of Abdul Aziz of Akingam and Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh son of Abdul Aziz of Zirpora. All the injured were shifted to hospital. Parvaiz Ahmad Bakshi succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Sumo JK15/2243 hit and injured Hadiya Maqsood daughter of Maqsood, Ahmad resident of Aham Sharief at Pethkoote, Bandipora, in the jurisdiction of police station Pethkoote. The injured succumbed to her injuries on way to Sub District Hospital, Bandipora. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Tata Sumo JK09 1266 hit and injured a pedestrian Zareefa wife of Ghulam Mohammad Sofi of Sohipora at Kupwara. The injured was shifted to Bone and joints Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Maruti car JK04B 4061 hit and injured a pedestrian Raja Begum wife of Manzoor Ahmad Kanth resident of Khumani Chowk at Khumani Chowk, Budgam. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
