2-day State level MDP for docs, nurses begins at SMVD Narayana Hospital

JAMMU, Mar 1: A 2-day State level Management Development Programme (MDP) for Doctors, Nursing Professionals, MLHPs, Tutors of Nursing Colleges and ANMT as well as GNM Schools was inaugurated today at SMVD Narayana Super Specialty Hospital Katra.
The Programme is being organized by Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) India in collaboration with Narayana Super Specialty Hospital Katra at Sanjeevani Auditorium, Narayana Hospital Campus Katra. More than 125 participants are taking part in the training. Resource persons and moderators of sessions are from all over J&K.
Dr Yashpal Sharma (Director, New Medical Colleges, Paramedical & Nursing Colleges of J&K and National president AHA India) along with Dr Jatinder Paul Singh (Clinical Director SMVDNSSH, Katra), MM Mathavan (Facility Director, Narayana Hospital, Katra), Maj General Jagtar Singh (MDP Chief AHA India Director Finance) along with Dr Arun Sharma (general secretary, AHA Jammu Chapter) were also present on the stage.
Topics of the MDP include Medical Negligence, Communication & Soft Skills, Women Empowerment & Development, Role of Nursing in Prevention of Hospital Infection, Ethical & Legal Issues Related to Nursing Management in Hospitals, Challenges in Management Clinical Services, etc.
Moderators for sessions include Dr Vijay Raina (MS, Government Hospital, Sarwal Jammu); Dr Arun Sharma, Dr Jatinder Pal Singh, Dr Sandeep Singh (Registrar, Paramedical & Nursing Council, Jammu), Dr Shailla Cannie (Principal/Dean, SMVD College of Nursing, Katra), Dr Manoj Bhagat (Principal, Regional Institute of H&FW Jammu), Mohd Sadiq Khan (MEIO National Trainer), Shylaja (Nursing Superintendent, SMVDNSSH, Katra), Dr Sunita Puri Goyal (executive member, AHA Jammu Chapter) and Dr Sanjeev Puri (Joint Director, SOTTO J&K).
