JAMMU, Mar 1: A workshop on cyber crime awareness investigation was organised at Conference Hall of DPL Jammu.
The workshop was inaugurated by SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli. Other officers present in the event were SP South Mamta Sharma, SP Hqrs Ramnish Gupta, all SDPOs, Dy. SP DAR KD Bhagat and SHOs of few police stations. The Resource person for the workshop was Milind Agrwal, a Cyber security expert, ethical hacker and certified Forensic expert.
Various cyber crime related issues and comprehensive approach for dealing with cyber crime matters were discussed.
Moreover, the SSP Jammu also instructed all the participants to aware the general public under their jurisdictions about the Do’s and Dont’s to keep them away from the Cyber crimes.
Also all the participants shared their thoughts and doubts and were briefed accordingly to deal with the cyber related issues. Various tips and tricks to deal with sensitive cyber crime cases and various other cyber frauds were shared by the cyber expert.
Various topics related to cyber awareness were discussed.
Types of cybercrimes such as Hacking, Credit Card Fraud, Virus dissemination, Cyber terrorism, Cyber stalking, Cyber threatening, Cyber defamation, Child pornography, Financial crimes etc
Categories of cybercrimes such as crime against persons, crime against property and crime against Government and preventions against cybercrime were also discussed.
Also during the Cyber awareness program Police officers were made aware about emerging cyber challenges and ways to investigate such Cyber incidents to identify and nab the cyber criminals for judicial determination. Various cyber tools were demonstrated to make use for cyber investigation and evidence collection to produce before the court of law.
In the end, the SSP Jammu also instructed all the participants to utilize various techniques shared by the cyber expert to deal with their day to day crime matters for curbing the status of cyber crimes in the district.
