RAJOURI, Apr 9: Two children were charred to death after they got trapped in a huge burning dry-grass heap at a village in Darhal area of district Rajouri this afternoon.
The mishap took place when the two kids, namely Safraz Ahmed (5), son of Talib Hussain and Irfan (7), son of Parvez were playing on the dry grass heap in the fields near their house at Darra Sadrabat village in Darhal at round 1.30 pm. Suddenly, the grass caught fire and both the children got trapped in the huge flames. Both the boys were charred to death on the spot.
Later, Police party led by SHO, CMO Kotranka Dr Iqbal and Tehsildar reached the spot. After performing legal formalities on the spot, the bodies were handed over to the family members for last rites.
