PDP creation of forces inimical to State’s unique character: Sagar

SRINAGAR, Apr 9: Maintaining that the PDP was created to scuttle the autonomy resolution passed by the State Assembly for making the State more autonomous and self reliant, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats and senior National Conference leader  Ali Mohammad Sagar today said they are a creation of the forces inimical to unique character of the State and its autonomy and now the  party is trying to mislead the people by spreading false propaganda for their ulterior motives.
Mr  Sagar was addressing a huge gathering at Pampore, today. Senior leaders of National Conference, district president, G N Niloora,  Panch, Sarpanchs and other prominent persons from different fields of life were present on the occasion.
While referring to the role of PDP in scuttling the autonomy resolution, Mr  Sagar said that the forces which are inimical to the unique nature of the State created this party for trading the interests of the State as the leaders of this particular party have always been involved in conspiracies to tarnish the special status of the State and have even tried to dilute it.
“The people of the State are well aware of the fact the patron of the PDP during his tenure as the  Union Home Minister  was responsible for the enactment of provisions of certain draconian Acts to the State, which have been responsible for inflicting miseries and hardships on the people”, Mr  Sagar said.
The NC leader said that the people are aware of the work done by present coalition for the overall and sustained development of the State by introducing innumerable programmes and schemes. He said that people should ratify their belief in the present dispensation by coming out in large numbers, exercising their franchise and give a befitting reply to the parties, which  are spreading rumors and false hood for their political and personal gains.
