SRINAGAR, May 13: Two brothers were killed in a cloudburst that hit forest area of Pahroo in Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district this evening.
The cloudburst struck the Pahroo area when the two brothers were raring sheep in the forest. Two of their associates had narrow escape.
The deceased have been identified as Arif Ahmad Lone and Sameer Ahmad Lone, sons of Mohammad Ibrahim Lone.
A number of sheep have also perished in the incident.
A police team and local volunteers besides officials from administration reached the spot and are trying to bring the bodies to their native village.
