2 bovine smugglers held

RAMBAN, July 6: Police today arrested two bovine smugglers and recovered 12 milch animals from their possession, which they were illegally smuggling to Valley.
Police spokesman said that, on a tip off, police party from Chanderkote Police Station, laid a naka near Kunfer Nallah and intercepted a Srinagar bound Tata Mobile bearing registration number JKO5B 3565.
During checking, police recovered 5 milch animals and arrested the driver namely Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Qasim Showkat of Roun Domail, Udhampur.
A case under FIR number 33/12 stands registered at Chanderkote Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, police party from Ramsoo Police Station arrested one bovine smuggler namely Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Sidhra Jammu and recovered 7 milch animals, which he was illegally smuggling to Valley in a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JKO2AL 4027.
The vehicle has been seized, while, a case under relevant Section stands registered at Police Station Ramsoo.
