JAMMU, Oct 21: Miran Sahib police today arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued 12 milch animals from their possession.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-0705.
During checking, police recovered 12 milch animals and arrested two bovine smugglers identified as Mohd Shakeel, son of Mohd Rashid of Gujjar Colony, Channi and Jamel Din, son of Sher Ali of Maralia, spokesman added.
A case under FIR number 119/ 12 under Sections 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act was registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made by police party from Miran Sahib Police Station led by SHO Ravi Parihar, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Diwakar Singh and SP Headquarters, Shailender Singh.
