2 bootleggers held, 178 liquor pouches seized

REASI, Aug 17: Continuing its drive against illicit liquor, Reasi Police arrested two bootleggers and seized 178 poly pouches of J&K Excise Liquor from their possession.
A Police party, led by SHO Katra,  Inspector Kuldeep Krishan,  laid a special Naka at Kalka Nagar Katra near Masjid and intercepted   one person namely Pardeep Kumar of  Marta,  Ramnagar.  108 poly pouches measuring 250 ml each of J&K Excise Liquor were recovered from his possession. Police seized  the liquor pouches and arrested the accused. In this connection case under section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC has been  registered at Police Station  Katra.
In a separate success, a Police team, led by SHO Reasi,  Inspector J J Bhagat,  seized 70 poly pouches measuring 250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor from the possession of Pawan Kumar of  Seela Reasi. The accused was carrying the liquor pouches in a  Maruti Car bearing registration number  JK02K-2516, which was also seized by the Police.
In this connection,  case FIR number  125/2015 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station  Reasi.
