UDHAMPUR, Sept 25: Police today arrested two bootleggers and seized 70 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession in two different areas.
According to police, cops led by SHO Udhampur Deepak Jasrotia arrested one Vijay Kumar of Upper Thanoa and recovered 50 pouches of country made liquor from his possession. The accused was carrying these pouches in a polythene bag for illegal sale in his native village.
In another case, a Police party led by SHO Majalta Sukhdev Singh arrested Des Raj of Dhema, who was illegally selling pouches of country made liquor. 20 pouches of liquor were seized from his possession.
Police have registered the cases under J&K Excise Act against both the accused
