SAMBA, May 5: Samba Police today arrested two bootleggers and recovered 87 pouches of liquor from their possession.
According to a report, a police team led by Inspector Sauraj Pathania, SHO Police Station Ghagwal acting on a specific input, laid a Surprise Naka along with Special Branch Ghagwal at village Rajpura and Sanoora in the Jurdicistion of Ghagwal Police Station in district Samba. During checking of a scooty bearing Registration No JK21B-2732, the police recovered 44 Poly pouches of J and K Excise Liquor and three quarter of whisky from the possession of one Mahinder Pal (Panch ) resident of Village Randwal
Another person namely Bhola S/o Shyam Lal R/o Chattisgarh at present Katta Barhamana was also found carrying 43 Pouches on bicycle. Both of them were arrested and poly pouches of liquor were seized by police.
In this connection case FIR Nos. 43 and 44 of 2016 under Section 48-A Excise Act, have been registered at Police Station Ghagwal.
