MENDHAR, May 2: The police has arrested two accused persons, who were evading arrest since 2003. One of them is said to be an ex-serviceman.
A senior police officer said that both the accused persons were wanted by Gursai (Mendhar) police in case FIR No. 37/ 2003. They have been identified as Basharat Hussain and his brother, Sepoy Zafar Iqbal (of 156 TA battalion), both sons of Mohd Razak hailing from Gursai area. The police parties led by SHO Mendhar Burhan-ul-Haq (DySP Prob) and SHO Gursai Altaf Khan (DySP Prob), arrested the both from two different locations. A local court had issued arrest warrants under Section 512 CrPC against them.
