SAMBA, June 6: As a part of intensified drive against the criminals, District Police Samba arrested two absconders wanted in different cases registered at P/S Vijaypur and Police Station, Samba respectively.
A Police team of Vijaypur headed by Inspector, Chaman Gorkha, SHO, under the supervision of Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur arrested an absconder wanted in case FIR No. 46/2018 U/S 451/323/336/ 504/506 RPC registered against him. The accused namely Rakesh Kumar alias Soni, S/o Dhuni Ram, R/o Surinsar has been arrested from Vijaypur Chowk and produced in the court of law.
Similarly, a police team of PP Supwal under the supervision of Inspector, Shiv Dev Singh, SHO P/S Samba & Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba arrested one absconder namely Sham Lal, S/o Chuni Lal of Nagrota Tanda, Jammu from Nanke Chak, Samba. The accused was wanted in case FIR No. 317/2009 U/S 279/304-A RPC of P/S Samba. He was evading arrest for the last 10 years after commission of crime. The accused was also produced in the court of law today.
Both the arrests were made under the overall supervision of Faisel Qureshi, Additional SP, Samba.
