19 CRPF men injured in road mishap

Srinagar, May 27: Nineteen Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in a road mishap in Bemina area of Srinagar today.
Police said that 19 CRPF men suffered injuries in the road mishap at Bemina. All the injured were taken to JVC hospital. Nine among the injured were shifted to Army’s 92 Base Hospital Badamibagh for treatment where the condition of one of them is stated to be critical.
Police said that there was no stone pelting in Bemina area which according to CRPF led to injuries to 19 troopers. Earlier, IG CRPF Rajdeep Sahie said that that the mishap took place after some miscreants pelted stones on the vehicle.
Police said that based on CCTV camera footage it is clear that there was no stone pelting in the area and the mishap occurred as the CRPF driver lost control over the vehicle.
Meanwhile, one person died while two others were injured in a road mishap at Beehama market in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district last night.
Police said a load carrier (bearing registration number JK16-2675) collided with tempo traveller (bearing registration number JKO2AQ – 8863) near tehsil office at Beehama market Ganderbal last night.
Three persons injured in the mishap were rushed to district hospital Ganderbal where from they were referred to SKIMS Soura and Bone and Joints Hospital Barzulla for specialized treatment. However, one of the injured identified as Ashiq Ahmad succumbed at SKIMS.
