17 gamblers held

JAMMU, July 15: Police in Jammu’s Domana area claimed today that they have arrested 17 gamblers and seized Rs 62890 as stake money from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Domana led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor assisted by SHO Domana Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal and ASI Rattan Lal while on patrolling duty received an information regarding some persons gambling in an open field at Muthi, Jammu.
On this, the police team raided the suspected place and arrested 17 gamblers along with Rs 62890 and deck of playing cards.
The accused have been booked under Section 13 of the Gambling Act registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation started.
They have been identified as Ram Sahu of Chhattisgarh at present Muthi, Alok Sahu of Odisha at present Muthi, Rahul Raikwal of Madhya Pradesh at present Sai Bagh Pulli, Soharwan Kumar of Chhattisgarh at present Janipur, Lalu Rathore of Chhattisgarh at present Muthi, Neelambar Kewait of Chhattisgarh at present Tallab Tillo, Shiv Narela of Chhattisgarh at present Janipur, Dilbagh Singh of Gole Pulli, Ram Charan of Muthi Durga Palace, Jai Parkash Sahu of Chhattisgarh at present Muthi, Sikandar Singh of Muthi, Santosh Kumar of Chhattisgarh at present Udhaywala, Jammu, Lakhan of MP, Anju Kumar of Chhattisgarh at present Udhaywala, Som Dutt of Muthi, Jammu, Radhe Sham of Chhattisgarh at present Muthi, Jammu, and Kear Singh of Muthi, Jammu.
