17 bovine animals rescued, smuggler arrested

Reasi, July 31: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling to Kashmir, Reasi Police today rescued 17 animals and also arrested the accused from Mahore area.
On a specific information that some persons were on way towards Kashmir along with bovine animals without any legal permission, a Police team from PP Dewal, under the supervision of SHO Mahore, Inspector Rumal Singh and SDPO Mahore, Ayaz Ahmed, laid a naka near Adital Dewal Tehsil Mahore. Police rescued 17 animals from the possession of accused person, who was also arrested on the spot. The smuggler was identified as Mohd Yousaf of Dhamal Hanjipora District Kulgam.
In this connection, case under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
