159 test +ve in Kashmir, 45 in Jammu

SRINAGAR/JAMMU/ LEH, Sept 22: Kashmir today reported 159 fresh cases of COVID-19 while Jammu region recorded 45 new cases.
The UT of Ladakh registered six fresh cases.
Those who tested positive in Kashmir include 80 from Srinagar, 14 from Baramulla, 28 from Budgam, 7 from Pulwama, 4 from Kupwara, 5 from Anantnag, 7 from Bandipora and 14 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 204,858 including 201,321 recoveries and 2,247 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,536 including 1,290 from Kashmir division.
With 118 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 322,463, which is 98.18 percent of the total cases.
All six cases in the UT of Ladakh were reported from Leh district. The UT now has 144 active positive cases including 140 in Leh and four in Kargil.
Out of 45 cases in the Jammu region, 28 were registered in Reasi district and all of them were travelers who tested positive on their arrival at Katra railway station.
