JAMMU, Aug 26: Under the supervision of Director CAPD Jammu, G. S. Chib, a team headed by Deputy Director (Supplies) Jammu Atam Dev Singh alongwith Assistant Directors Ajay Salaan and Ramesh Chander conducted 35 inspections in the areas of Canal Road, Jewel Chowk, Vinayak Bazaar and below Gumat.
During the inspection, the team booked 14 defaulters and fine amounting to Rs.17,500 was recovered on spot for violation of various provisions of Essential Commodities Act.
The team on spot warned all commercial establishments not to violate the provisions contained under Essential Commodities Act and adhere to the norms and rates notified from time to time.
