14 booked for violating norms

JAMMU, May 14: Keeping in view the forthcoming holy month of Ramzan, a special checking squad of Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs conducted market checking.
The market checking was conducted on the directions of the Director FCS&CA.
The team of Inspectors Raman Kumar, Yogesh Kumar, Prithpal Singh and Dewan Chand conducted the checking in 122 business establishments in Sainik Colony, Malik Market, Narwal, Bajalta and Sidhra areas.
Fourteen defaulters were booked for violating various rules of Essential Commodities Act 1955 and Price Display Act and a fine of Rs 18200 was realized from the defaulters on the spot.
