13 of a family injured in clash over land dispute

JAMMU, May 10: Thirteen persons of a family were injured in a clash following a dispute over land distribution in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to Incharge police post Sidhra, SI Mohd Arif, in a group clash following a land dispute 13 persons including men and women of a Gujjar family were injured in Dangwali area of Sidhra.
He said the family members attacked each other with lathies and hurled stones on each other due to which 13 of them were injured. The injured have been identified as Asgar Ali (35) son of Abdul Gani, her wife Manzoom Bibi (32), Akbar Ali (40) her wife Hamidi, Parveen Bibi (25), Zartoon Bibi (32) wife of Ashokat Ali, Farman Ali (26) son of Kurshad Ali, his mother Bashira (42), brother Hussain Ali (27) and sister Asha Bibi (20), Manzoor Ali (26) son of Nahyat Ali, Shaidia Bibi (18) daughter of Naith Ali and Shama Bibi (35) wife of Naith Ali.
“All the injured were rushed to Government Hospital Sarwal, from where they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”, he said, adding two counter FIRs have been registered at concerned police station and further investigations are on.
