KISHTWAR, May 10: Tributes were paid to martyrs who sacrificed there lives while fighting militancy.
In a function, organized at Gori Shanker Mandir, Sarkoot under the chairmanship of Mahant Baba Ram Saran Dass Shastri, floral tributes were paid to martyrs. People from all walks of life participated in the function.
Mahant Baba Ram Saran Dass Shastri and Prof Surinder Sen, president, Sanatan Dharam Sabha said that it was only due to these martyrs that evil designs of anti-national elements were not successful.
Urging society to follow the foot steps of martyrs, they appealed for unity to fight the evils.
It is to mention that, on this day in 1993 Satish Bhandari, the then State general secretary Hindu Raksha Samiti was assassinated by terrorists.
