DODA, May 3: Thirteen persons were injured when a mini-bus, they were traveling in, met with an accident at Sanaie Bhaderwah this morning.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-2069 was on its way from Bhaderwah to Doda when it met with accident. Soon after getting information about the accident, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Farooq Ahmed Khan, along with other senior officers and police team rushed to the spot and supervised the relief and rescue operation.
All the injured occupants of the vehicle were rushed to Sub-District Hospital and three of them were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital for specialized treatment. The Deputy Commissioner provided an immediate relief of Rs 1000 each to the minor injured and Rs 2000 to the seriously injured persons.
Those admitted in GMC Jammu have been identified as Waseem Aftab, son of Sardar Mohd, Shameema Begum, wife of Abdul Rashid and Ab Rasheed, son of Ab Rehman, both the residents of Chakka Bhaderwah.
The injured admitted in SDH Bhaderwah have been identified as Hameeda Begum, wife of Sardar Mohammad, Mehnaz Banoo, daughter of Sardar Mohammad, both residents of Pul-Doda, Zahida Begum, wife of Mohd Shafi of Malothi, Athar Ahmed, son of Gh Nabi of Dandi Bhaderwah, Ajeet Kumar, son of Nariyan Dass of Marmat Doda, Mehar, daughter of Akhtar Hussain of Bhella, Farooq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hassan of Nagar Bhaderwah, Aftab Ahmed, son of Mehboob Tak of Bhaderwah, Nazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz of Puneja Bhaderwah and Bashi Ahmed of Bhaderwah.
