JAMMU: At least 13 people were feared dead and many others injured when a mini bus they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir today.
“A mini bus on way from Ghodi to Tehsil Ramnagar of Udhampur at 0845 hours skidded off the road near Dalsar and plunged into a deep gorge when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp turn,” police spokesperson here said.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said, “At least 13 people are feared dead so far and the toll may go up.”
Rescue operation has been launched and the injured are being shifted to the hospital. (UNI)
