KATHUA, Apr 29: Lok Adalat was held in the premises of District Court Complex here under the chairmanship of Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Kathua.
In order to settle the cases in the Lok Adalat, two benches were constituted. The first bench comprised of Sanjeev Gupta, Principal District & Sessions Judge Kathua and Kusum Pandita, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua, whereas the second bench comprised of Preet Simran Kour Munsiff JMIC Kathua and Munish Kumar Manhas District Mobile Magistrate Kathua.
A total number of 13 cases–7 Bank cases, 5 138 NI Act and 1 Civil suit were settled and disposed off. Settlement amount of Rs 22,26,232 in Bank cases was also passed in favour of the beneficiaries.
