JAMMU, July 29: Police today rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police party from police station Jhajjar Kotli intercepted a truck bearing number JK02S-2325.
During checking, police rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested the smuggler, who has been identified as Mohammad Farooq, son of Mohammad Mussa of Kansi Patta, Reasi and Swar Ali, son of Shabir Ali of Ragura.
A case under FIR number 102/2013 under Section 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
