1200 pay obeisance at Budha Amarnath shrine

POONCH, Aug 25: On the seventh day of annual Budha Amarnathji  Yatra, around 1200 pilgrims  from within and outside the state, paid obeisance at the Holy shrine at Mandi today.
Yatra officer Mandi and members of  Yatra Management Committee received the yatris coming from Poonch,  at Mandi town near the shrine this morning.
Till  today, more than 14,000 Yatris have paid obeisance at the Holy shrine including 4823 from outside the State.
Meanwhile, another batch of around 432 pilgrims reached the Poonch this  evening.
Yatra officer Poonch,  Narinder Suri said that the Yatra is going on smoothly and the pilgrims especially those who came from outside the state are impressed with the hospitality extended to them by the people of  Poonch cutting across religions.
Several religious organizations in the district have commended the arrangements put in place by the civil and police authorities.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Nisar Ahmed Wani and Senior Superintendent of Police, J S Johar are continuously supervising the facilities for the pilgrims.
