JAMMU, Feb 28: Police today rescued 12 bovine animals and seized a truck at Londi Naka under the jurisdiction of Hiranagar police station.
Police intercepted truck No. 7774 JK08A at Londi Naka, which was on way from Punjab to Jammu, at 5.30 am today. Police chased the truck. The truck driver fled away leaving behind the vehicle.
Police seized 12 bovine animals from the truck. The truck has been seized. Police have registered a case against the accused at Hiranagar police station.
Police parties led by SHO Hiranagar Inspector Anoorup Sharma made the seizure of bovine animals under the supervision of SSP Kathua Mohan Lal and SDPO Border Diwakar Singh.
