119th Jayanti of Swami Lakshmanjoo celebrated with fervour, enthusiasm

JAMMU, Apr 14: The 119th Jayanti of Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj was celebrated at Ishwar Ashram, Mahinder Nagar Canal Road here, today with great religious fervour and enthusiasm.
In this connection a grand function was organised by Ishwar Ashram Trust Mahinder Nagar in which a large number of devotees of Swami Ji participated. The birthday celebrations started with chanting of Gurustuti and Guru Bhajans. The devotees from all over country participated in the event to seek blessings of Swami Ji. The devotees were also served with Prashad after culmination of Puja.
Swami Lakshmanjoo was the last living master in the glorious Guru Shishya lineage of Kashmir Shaivism, a handout issued by Ishwar Ashram Trust (IAT) said. He was a real jewel having profound and deep understanding of the philosophy and practice of Kashmir Shaivism. He spent his entire life time in teaching the mystical tenets of Trika Philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism to the seeks from all over the globe and is considered as the Abhinavgupta of modern times. His contribution in the spread of Kashmir Shaiva philosophy worldwide is unmatched and has made this philosophy as most sought after in the globe, the handout added.
Ishwar Ashram Trust (IAT) founded by Swami Lakshmanjoo has been carrying forward his mission to create, establish, run and maintain centres of meditation, discourses, Satsang for propagation of Kashmir Shaiva philosophy and has been organising classes , discourses , lectures, seminars, workshops in this regard all over India, the Trust said.
It said IAT has also been printing and publishing books on Kashmir Shaiva Philosophy and teachings of Swami Ji for upliftment of the mankind.
On this occasion the latest publications of Ishwar Ashram Trust “Talks with Shaivacharya Lakshmanjoo and Light on Tantra in Kashmir Shaivism volume 4 were also released.
The Trust said that the birthday celebrations were also held at different places all over India and globe including Ishbar- Nishat , in Srinagar, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi, and Kashmiri Pandit Sabha Khargar, Mumbai.
