JAMMU, July 13: Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines to Kashmir valley and seized a truck with 11 animals.
Police spokesman said that on the intervening night of July 12 and 13, a police party from Narwal Police Post intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AG-6587 and recovered 11 bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir valley from Kunjwani area.
However, driver of the truck managed to escape taking the cover of darkness.
A case under Section 188/RPC has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort in this regard.
