SAMBA, Aug 3: Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), Samba police today in a joint drive with District Civil administration booked 108 persons across the district and imposed a fine amounting to Rs 54,000 on them.
In order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that the people of district Samba follow COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), the various joint teams of Samba Police and district civil administration booked 108 persons for not wearing face masks, not following social distancing norms and for spitting in public places.
Samba police has appealed to citizens of Samba district to always wear a face mask, be strict in crowded areas and bazars , always follow COVID Appropriate Behavior as these are the key preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. People are further advised to maintain social distancing and personal hygiene.
