NOWSHERA, Nov 3: A team of Forest officials headed by DFO Nowshera, Dr Arshdeep Singh, retrieved about 101 kanals of Forest land from the possession of encroachers in Nowshera Forest Division.
In Sunderbani Range of this Division, the operation was led by Range Officer Vinod Sharma. Accompanied by field Staff, the RO managed to retrieve 25 kanals of Forest land from the occupation of three encroachers in Compartment No. 31/B/D falling in Channi area of Sunderbani Range.
In yet another operation, led by Forester Yash Paul, the Forest team also retrieved nearly 76 Kanals of forest land from compartment No. 40/D & 47/ D of Thandapani area of Sunderbani Forest Range.
The operation was coordinated by the Conservator of Forests, West Circle, Rajouri Sameer Bharti. A warning has also been issued by the Forest Department to the persons involved against any such attempt in future.
Further, the DFO Nowshera has ordered the repair of fencing of retrieved area to prevent from being encroached again in future.
