101 civilians exchange sides via Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch

JAMMU : With no fresh Indian citizen visiting the Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (Pok), as many as 101 civilians today exchanged sides via Chakkan-da-Bagh in a weekly Poonch Rawlakote bus service along the Line of Control in Poonch district.

“From this side of the border no fresh Indian citizen went across while 15 PoK residents returned to their homes after completing their stipulated stay on this side,” an official here said.

He said that from across the border, 17 Indian citizens returned back and 69 fresh PoK residents reached Poonch in a weekly Peace Bus.

The gate however, was opened at 1410 hrs and closed at 1435 hrs.

Senior police and administrative officials were also present on the occasion. (AGENCIES)
