SRINAGAR, Mar 7: The Jan Aushadhi Diwas was today celebrated as a 7th-day activity here at the Govt Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh where it was informed that 100 more Jan Aushadhi Kendras as shortly coming up across J&K.
The event was attended by all stakeholders of Jan Aushadhi including Rifat Nazir Nodal Officer, PMBI J&K and all the Kendra owners.
The programme started with the Welcome address followed by PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) about the scheme and Rifat Nazir Nodal Officer PMBPJ (J&K).
She applauded the effective efforts of Vivek Bhardwaj, Additional Chief Secretary Health and Medical Education Department J&K for training the scheme to the newer heights of success in the UT of J&K.
She paid gratitude to the Department of Drugs and Food Control especially Mrs Lotika Khajuria State Drug Controller and Mrs Irfana Ahmad Deputy Drug Controller Kashmir and their teams also for their efforts in popularising the scheme across J&K.
“About one hundred more Jan Aushadhi Kendras are being opened across J&K within a short period,” she said.
It is to be noted here that the program is being organised in connection with the 4th Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebrations from 1st March to 7th March 2022 across the country.
The program is aimed at creating awareness about the benefits of the scheme through which quality medicines are made available to the general public at affordable prices.
Hundreds of such Medical Kendra’s (stores) have already been established throughout J&K.
Qazi Sarwar, Additional Commissioner Kashmir presented as Chief Guest at the event. The chief guest felicitated Mrs Irfana Ahmad Deputy Drug Controller, Mr Hilal Ahmad Malik Prop Malik Sales Agencies with the team, Mr Rouf Ahmad representing Jan Aushadhi Kendras of Srinagar and Budgam, Mr Nazir Ahmad representing Jan Aushadhi Kendra South Kashmir.
After the programme, while interacting with media Rifat Nazir Nodal Officer, PMBI J&K enlightens upon the benefits of the scheme for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and ensured that every help would be provided for providing benefits of the scheme to even the people of the remotest areas of the Jammu & Kashmir.
