POONCH, May 31: The police seized 100 bags of rice and booked two CAPD officials, a dealer and a trader for pilferage of ration in Surankote area today.
Official sources said that on the basis of specific complaint, the police party from Surankote under the supervision of SDPO Mohd Riaz conducted raid at a private store of a trader at village Gonthal and recovered 100 bags of CAPD rice. The police team discovered that the ration had been pilferaged from a local CAPD store in Surankote area with the connivance of some officials. The police seized the ration and registered an FIR No. 91/ 2018 in this connection. Further investigation was in progress.
