REASI, July 1: Police seized 10 vehicles for illegal mining.
As per reports, teams of District Police Reasi during the intervening night of June 20 and July 1, seized 10 vehicles engaged in illegal mining.
These night long surprise operation was carried out at different locations on the rivulets and tributaries of perennial river ‘Ans’ (Badhora Nallah, Tharal Ganjote) and various other spots in Sub Division Mahore.
The seized vehicles include tractor trolleys and tipper.
Reasi Police has seized 57 vehicles involved in illegal mining since April 2021 and booked under Mining Act by the concerned Authorities. A fine of Rs 8,52,800 was slapped upon the violators.
