REASI, July 12: Forest Protection Force today retrieved 10 kanals of forest land from encroachment by a person in Katra Range of Reasi Forest Division.
A team led by the Range Officer Katra, in presence of Executive Magistrate, Police and Forest Protection Force, retrieved the forest land from one Abdul Latief, son of Ahmadu of village Panasa in tehsil Reasi at C/o 77/K of Katra Range in Reasi Forest Division.
The team dismantled one illegal tin shed structure raised on the forest land. A case was also registered against the culprit under various provisions of J&K Forest Act, 1987. The whole operation was carried out under close supervision of Divisional Forest Officer Reasi.
