POONCH, Sept 15: Ten persons were injured when a Tata Sumo met with an accident at Lassana area of Surankote.

Sources said that a Sumo bearing registration number was on its way from Upper Lassana to Surankote, when at about 10 AM on reaching near Lassana shrine, driver of the vehicle lost control and the vehicle met with an accident, leaving 10 passengers injured. Locals shifted all the injured to Sub District Hospital Surankote from where they were referred to District Hospital Poonch after initial treatment.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that one among the injured was referred to GMC Rajouri for advance treatment, 4 were still under observation in DH Poonch while five injured were discharged after treatment.
Station House Officer Surankote Inspector Rajesh Thapa said that Police has taken cognizance of the matter.
